Vintner’s Reserve Ortega Release

Just in time for Thanksgiving, we are releasing our first batch of Vintner’s Reserve Ortega! Our store will be open on Friday 6th October from noon until 5pm.

This is your exclusive chance to get your hands on this 2016 barrel-aged Ortega, as well as stock up on your Beaufort favourites in time for Thanksgiving dinner.

Because it’s our very busy harvest and crush season, we will not be able to offer a full tasting room experience on October 6th. We will open the store PRIMARILY FOR WINE SALES, with an opportunity to taste the new release Vintner’s Reserve Ortega only. Looking forward to seeing you!

SAIL CARGO INC information evening

Beaufort is excited to host the team behind Sail Cargo Inc. on August 3 at 6pm. You are invited to join us for an information evening at the winery.

In October 2017, Sail Cargo will launch a carbon neutral freight service between Costa Rica and BC – their mission; to facilitate an international network of carbon neutral transportation systems, focussing mainly on the maritime shipping industry.

Whether you’re an importer/exporter or distributor of high value commodity products, sailor, shipbuilder or a global citizen with a desire to see real change in how our communities engage with the issues around carbon emissions and climate change, we encourage you to attend!

Officially ‘in transition’ to organic

We’ve got exciting news on our organic certification process. Last week, the Pacific Agricultural Certification Society (PACS) sent us a document which denotes our official transition to organic agriculture in the Beaufort Vineyard. While we have been adhering to organic standards in the vineyard for many years, this marks the first step towards an official organic status and we are very, very happy indeed. Hurray!
