All Beaufort Wines are handcrafted in the Comox Valley, on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Each year we release our latest creations, which reflect our Winemakers’ decades of experience, and continue the trend of carefully handcrafting consistent, high quality, international award-winning wines from grapes grown on the Beaufort Estate and other British Columbia family-owned vineyards.
Beaufort’s vineyard and winery practices are environment, animal, and people friendly.
Some of our previous wine releases are still available through our online ordering system.
Lessons from the past...
Due to our limited production, we tend to sell out of many of our wines within a few weeks, sometimes within hours, of their release! And despite a steady increase in demand for our wines, we do not intend to increase our production ... primarily because we want to maintain control over the quality of our wines, which is among the highest in Canada, but also we believe that a balance between work and non-work activities is the key to our success, and the sustainablity of our business.
So here's what we suggest...
1) Sign up for our Newsletter to get advance notice of our new releases.
2) Order a mixed case on or soon after their release.
3) Decide which ones you like.
4) Stock up your cellar with your favourites ... before they disappear!

REDS...
-> 2010 Ça Beautage (SA-boh-TAHj); 170 cases crafted. We are very pleased to again present our very own “Ça Beautage”, crafted from a proprietary blend of Beaufort Estate-grown Leon Millot, Marechal Foch, and Cabernet Foch grapes. The 2009 vintage of this wine received a Double Gold, “Best in Class” award at the prestigious 2011 All Canadian Wine Championships! We believe that this release is equally outstanding, and is an excellent expression of the terroir of Grantham Ridge, whereupon the Beaufort vineyard is situated.
--> Beauhemian (boh-HEE-MEE-uh n); 85 cases crafted. We’ve crafted a unique, big, bold, red wine that defies convention, and represents the counter-culture Bohemian lifestyle that we admire. We’ve taken the road-less-travelled and crafted a blend of wines from our 2008 through 2010 vintages – with the intent of arousing your senses to new heights. This fabulous, rich, wine is an exotic, proprietary blend of Beaufort Estate and BC-grown: Leon Millot, Marechal Foch, Cab-Foch, Cab-Sauv, Merlot, Malbec, Shiraz, and Cab-Franc.
> 2010 Shiraz. According to legend, inhabitants of Shiraz, Iran were the first to produce a full-bodied red wine from Shiraz grapes. At Beaufort we are pleased to carry on this tradition, crafting a big, bold red from BC-grown Shiraz, aged in predominately new French oak barrels.
-> 2010 MnM (Malbec-Merlot); 175 cases crafted. A big, bold, brash “New-World” blend of BC-grown Malbec (70%) and Merlot (30%) aged in French & American oak barrels.
-> 2011 G’Wurtz (guh-VERTS). Back by popular demand! We have crafted another delectable, dry wine from BC-grown Gewurztraminer grapes. Just like our award-winning G’Wurtz of the past, the aromas are fruity and floral and pairs beautifully with light-bodied fish, shellfish, white meats, spicier foods, and Swiss-style cheeses.
-> 2011 Pinot Gris -- SORRY, SOLD OUT! This dry white wine is crafted from Beaufort Estate and BC-grown Pinot Gris grapes. The excellent quality of the grapes this vintage allowed for extended contact with the skins after crushing -- producing a lovely peach-coloured hue to the wine, and adding complexity to both the flavours and aromas. Like our previous multiple award-winning Pinot Gris wines, this wine pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, pastas, white meats, and various vegetarian dishes and cheeses.

-> 2011 Ortega -- SORRY, SOLD OUT! Just 120 cases crafted! This is one of Beaufort’s most popular whites, and a former Gold Medal winner. Like our previous Ortegas, this vintage is crafted from Beaufort Estate and Vancouver Island-grown Ortega. Luscious and aromatic, this dry white wine pairs beautifully with a variety of fish and shellfish, white meats, various vegetarian dishes and cheeses. A great sipper all on its own too
-> 2011 Beaudacious (boh-DAY-shuss); 155 cases crafted. Beaufort’s extremely popular and highly creative blend of Beaufort Estate-grown and Vancouver Island Schönburger, Ortega, Pinot Gris and Siegerrebe. This delicious, off-dry, aromatic white wine is perfect with spicier foods, fresh seafood, pastas with white sauce, white meats, various vegetarian dishes and cheeses. But of course, it’s great all on its own!
and a Rosé...
-> 2011 Blanc de Noir (Pinot Noir Rosé); 125 cases crafted. Like last year’s Gold Medal winning Blanc de Noir, this year’s off-dry rosé wine was crafted from 100% Vancouver Island Pinot Noir, pressed quickly to preserve fresh fruit flavours and aromas, and extract a hint of colour from this red wine grape. Flavours of sweet strawberries, cherries and peaches, this wine can be paired with spicier foods, fresh salads, or enjoyed as a crisp, sweet, sip of summer anytime!
and later in the year...
-> 2010 Cabernets (Cab Sauv - Cab Franc); 135 cases crafted. Enjoy this exquisite blend of BC-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Aged in French & American oak barrels, this wine has subtle smoky aromas and layers of complex black fruit flavours.
-> 2010 Carpe Diem (KAR-pay DEE-uh m). Pinot Noir Sparkling Rosé - Traditional Method; 65 cases crafted. Back by popular demand, this traditional, bottle-fermented, sparkling rosé wine is crafted from 100% Vancouver Island-grown Pinot Noir grapes in the same BRUT style as our award-winning 2009 Carpe Diem. As always, we encourage you to seize the day with our “Carpe Diem” -- it’s not just for celebrations, or breakfast, anymore!
-> 2010 Pinot Noir; 45 Cases Crafted. We are pleased to present our first red Pinot Noir, crafted from 100% Vancouver Island Pinot Noir grapes, fermented on the skins for just a few days, then pressed to preserve the distinctive fresh fruit flavours and aromas typical of this delicate grape.
-> 2010 Merlot. An elegant, Old-World style red, crafted from BC-grown Merlot, and aged in French & American oak barrels. The distinctive smoky aroma and underlying fruit flavours make this wine a perfect complement to grilled meats or poultry, and hearty pastas. For something different, try pairing with cedar plank salmon or tuna, and always great with mature cheeses, and earthy vegetarian dishes.
-> 2011 Carpe Nocte (KAR-pay NOK-tay). Estate Red Sparkling – Traditional Method; 65 cases crafted. You may have already “Seized the Day”, so why not “Seize the Night” as well? This traditional, bottle-fermented, BRUT sparkling wine is crafted from Beaufort Estate-grown Leon Millot, Marechal Foch, Cab-Foch plus some Vancouver Island-grown Pinot Noir grapes. This wine was pressed quickly to preserve fresh fruit flavours and aromas. The gorgeous colour comes from our intense, dark red Estate-grown winegrapes. Flavours of sweet strawberries and cherries and a soft finish allow this wine to be paired with spicier foods, fresh salads, or enjoyed as a crisp, sweet, sipper anytime! We encourage you to seize the night with our “Carpe Nocte” -- it’s not just for special occasions anymore!
As always, thank you for your support of our humble little Winery, and for supporting your local producers!
